7th Annual Beach Festival July 15th 2007 on the beach front.

The Sandfields First Neighbourhood Plan is now available to download from this homepage.

YLAC - Youth Local Action Centre is a new project from New Sandfields Aberavon, which was highlighted in the Sandfields Neighbourhood Plan. The scheme is aimed at engaging young people within Sandfields and Aberavon Area, whilst working in partnership with other youth Provisions & Organisations. More infomation can be found within the projects section of this site.

Beach Festival 06 will be held at the usual site on 15th July 2006. This years event will be bigger and better then any before, contact Ryland on 01639 870067 for further information or to be a part of this years event.

WHAT IS COMMUNITIES FIRST?

The Communities First programme is a long-term strategy (Minimum of 10 Years) for improving the living conditions and prospects for people living in the most disadvantaged communities in Wales. Both Sandfields wards, East and West come under the Communities First Scheme.

The programme seeks to ensure that the funds and support available from the Welsh Assembly Goverment and other public sector agencies are targeted at these area's in order for them to become more prosperous and to provide more opportunities for those living in and around these area's. In order to succeed, you the residents of Sandfields needs to be involved and this is the reason why Sandfields First was set up.
